Project Overview
The Public Works Department Engineering Division is mobilizing for its annual paving project.
The Pavement Rehabilitation Project 2024-25 largely consists of removing 2 to 3 inches of deteriorated asphalt concrete at various locations and replacing it with new rubberized asphalt concrete. Damaged curb, gutter, and sidewalk will be replaced where necessary. Streets will then be restriped following resurfacing.
The following streets have been selected to be resurfaced:
- Sawtelle Blvd between Ballona Creek Bridge/City Limits to Sepulveda Blvd
- Cambridge Way between Buckingham to Canterbury
- Windsor Way between Buckingham to Canterbury
- Sumner Way between Buckingham to Canterbury
- Kensington Way between Buckingham Pkwy to Canterbury Dr
- Coombs Ave Between Culver Blvd to Barman Ave
- Lafayette Pl between Culver Blvd to Lucerne Ave
- Jackson Ave between Braddock Dr to Farragut Dr/Revere Pl
- Selmaraine Ave and Emporia Ave to Port Road
- Huntley Ave between Braddock Ave to Franklin Ave
- Huron Ave between Culver Blvd to End South/High School
- Herbert Ave between McLaughlin Ave to Sawtelle Blvd
- Crestview Ave between Ivy Way to Cul-de-Sac/Street End
The Pavement Rehabilitation Project 2024-25 also includes the following activities:
- A slurry seal will be applied to the City owned parking lot along Culver Blvd from Coombs Ave to Elenda St.
- A slurry seal will be applied to the street along Doverwood Ave between Bristol Pkwy to Green Valley Circle.
- Traffic calming speed humps will be installed along Doverwood Ave.

Construction Schedule
Please be advised, all construction is dynamic and the schedule is subject to change.
Dates: April - June 2025
Regular Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Other Hours: Limited night work at freeway ramps and high traffic intersections

Concrete improvement, including curb and gutter, cross gutter, and sidewalk

Construction Impacts
Every effort will be made by the City and the Contractor to minimize inconveniences.
- Sections of traffic lanes along the streets listed above will be closed for periods of time as work is being completed.
- Residents and businesses may experience temporary loss of street parking, brief loss of driveway access, and construction noise, dust, etc.
On trash pick-up days, continue to place trash containers in the street as usual.
Observe all traffic controls, parking restrictions, and traffic control workers.
