Nature Writing Workshop

Hand writing with a pen on a notepad

Admire fall’s changes in light and honor all the changes within yourself by writing your story among the beauty of Stoneview Nature Center! With the flora and fauna as our guide, this 5-week writing course will get you out of your head and into nature through keeping a nature journal, learning plant facts, celebrating the Fall Equinox, and creating your own nature stories, poems, and odes.

This course is open to writers of any genre interested in being in and writing about nature. The workshop facilitator, Sheila McMullin, is an award-winning poet, writing coach, and Master Gardener. Through her love for words and herbs she works within city parks to turn seeds of ideas into richly crafted and moving stories. She is the author of daughterrarium from Cleveland State University Poetry Center.

Pre-registration is required through the LA Parks and Rec website.
