Ombudsman requires 36 hours of initial training and internship for State of California Department of Aging Ombudsman Certification. Position requires dedication, patience and reliable transportation for on-site visitation.
As an advocate you can help ensure that residents in long-term care facilities are treated with consideration and dignity, that their human rights are respected and they have a reliable visitor.
