Attention Artists! The Cultural Affairs Division of the City of Culver City is interested in meeting local visual artists and scheduling studio visits. We are particularly interested in getting to know your artistic practice and learning about ways we can support your work as an artist. We plan to schedule a monthly block of time dedicated to meeting artists. To schedule a studio visit, please write to cultural.affairs@culvercity.org.

About the Division of Cultural Affairs

The Division of Cultural Affairs advances and enriches the arts and culture of the City of Culver City through various programs and initiatives. Our work includes overseeing an established and comprehensive Art in Public Places program, yearly grants to performing arts organizations, a thriving Artist Laureate program, and a multitude of experiences and events that contribute to a vibrant creative community. The Division partners with area artists, arts organizations, local businesses, and across all City departments and agencies to develop strategies to cultivate and promote equitable and inclusive access to the arts.

About the Studio Visit Initiative

The Division of Cultural Affairs of the City of Culver City seeks to build its network of local visual artists living and/or working within or near the City of Culver City. We are eager to learn from area artists and look forward to supporting artists in their work by providing information and resources regarding available programs, commissions, and professional development opportunities in the region. We know that Culver City is a thriving hub of creativity and we want to help facilitate connections and build community.

How long is a studio visit?

We plan to schedule 60 to 90 minute studio visits once a month.
