Culver City 2022 Homeless Count

Published on February 15, 2022

Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count, February 22-24, 2022 theycountwillyou.org LAHSA

Due to the City's COVID-19 safety measures, this year the count will be performed exclusively by Culver City’s Saint Joseph Center Homeless Outreach Team, City staff, including our Fire Department and Police Department, as well as members of the Advisory Committee On Housing and Homelessness (ACOHH). Culver City encourages anyone wanting to participate in this year’s Homeless Count to sign up for one of our neighboring communities - Palms, Mar Vista, Mid City, South Robertson, and Del Rey/Playa Vista.

The ACOHH has been working with the City Council in providing solutions to ending homelessness in the City of Culver City.  Initiatives from the City include updates to parking requirements, incentives for homeowners to build affordable ADUs (Accessory Dwelling Units), developing affordable housing units in the City, providing education to the community regarding services available for homeless individuals and families, funding the St. Joseph Center's Homeless Outreach Team, applying for State Project Homekey funds for motel conversion projects to assist unhoused individuals, and establishing a safe parking program.
