Senior Nutrition Program

Jewish Family Services (JFS) provides the Elderly Nutrition Program at the Culver City Senior Center. The program includes the Congregate Meal Program and Home Delivered Meals Program. Anyone 60 or over and persons with disabilities qualify. Congregate meals are served Monday-Friday between 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Please note that the congregate meals are closed during city holidays and may be closed due to internal programming. Advanced notice will be provided on site about closures. Meals are served on a first come first served basis and meals to go are not available. For more information, please visit the Jewish Family Services website.

How do I sign-up for the Nutrition Program?

Participants can sign-up for the nutrition program by coming to the senior center in person Monday-Friday from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM. To sign-up for the program, an intake form and code of conduct form must be completed.

How much does the Nutrition Program cost?

For program participants aged 60 or older and persons with disabilities, there's a suggested donation fee of $3. For adults under 60 years of age and guests who aren't in the nutrition program, a meal can be purchased for $7 if meals are available.

Can I come pick-up the meals?

No, to go meals are no longer available. Eligible participants who are 60 years of age or older and persons with disabilities must participate in the congregate meal program.

What if I need the meals delivered?

This service is for registered nutrition patrons ages 60 or older who are home bound and unable to pick-up meals. Jewish Family Services (JFS) will deliver frozen meals inclusive of fruit, bread, and milk on Mondays and Wednesdays between 11AM and 2 PM. Please note that there's currently a waiting list for the home bound meals program in Culver City.  

What if I was enrolled in the Pre-Covid-19 Home Delivered Meals?

Existing Home Delivered Meal clients will receive five frozen meals on Monday or Wednesday.

What Type of Meals are Served?

The congregate meal program provides program participants with one nutritious hot meal that's in compliance with county guidelines. Please see more regarding the types of meals provided here: details on meals provided by Jewish Family Services.
