The Culver City Homeless Reporting Dashboard provides a summary view of the City’s commitment to provide resources, services, and housing to the City’s unhoused population. The dashboard is updated quarterly and lists key performance indicators (KPI) for the various program areas that comprise the City’s homeless services programming. Culver City is leading with care and service to address homelessness.  This is evidenced by Culver City’s reduction in its residents' experiencing homelessness. Since Culver City declared a homelessness emergency in January 2023, the City has taken unprecedented action towards solving homelessness, including opening permanent and supportive housing sites, opening a safe-sleep site, providing shelter at two leased local motels, launching a mobile crisis response team, street-based healthcare, and extensive outreach services. 

The Culver City 2024 Homeless Point-In-Time (PIT) Count revealed that 115 persons were unhoused on the streets of Culver City, a 32% decrease from the 158 persons counted in 2023 and a 66% decrease from the 229 unhoused persons counted on the street in 2022. 

Culver City is a California leader in addressing homelessness by using a holistic and comprehensive approach. As of June 30, 2024, the City has accomplished the following:  

  • Culver City’s Project Homekey Permanent Supportive Housing site currently houses 37 residents since opening in October 2023. 

  • Culver City’s Project Homekey Interim Housing site currently temporarily houses 29 participants since opening in February 2024.  

  • Culver City’s Wellness Village Safe Sleep-site currently houses 14 participants and has served 58 people since opening in August 2023.  

  • Culver City is currently sheltering 33 people at leased motels which have served 81 people since July 2023.  

  • Culver City’s Mobile Crisis Team, which launched in March 2024, has helped provide placement for 34 unhoused individuals. It has responded to 438 calls for service and engaged with 311 people, including performing 75 mental health assessments.
